One terminal, all flights
Unlike Santo Domingo's Las Américas or Punta Cana's multi-terminal layout, STI runs every scheduled flight — JetBlue, American, Delta, United, Frontier, Arajet, Copa, Sky High and Avianca — through the same single terminal building. There is nothing to check in advance about which side of the airport your flight uses.
That single-terminal design is also why STI clears quickly: fewer people, fewer belts, and one arrivals flow rather than several competing ones. On an ordinary day the walk from the aircraft to the curb is short by any airport's standard.
The arrivals sequence
You come off the aircraft, walk into the terminal, and the flow is fixed: immigration first, then baggage claim, then a customs checkpoint, then a single exit into the arrivals hall. There is no way to double back once you have cleared a checkpoint.
The arrivals hall itself is compact. Drivers from various companies stand in a loose row just past the customs exit holding printed name signs — ours included. It rarely takes more than a minute to find the right one, even on a busy afternoon.
Where the driver waits
A driver — ours or anyone else's — cannot come past the customs exit. The meeting point is the arrivals hall, and that is where the name signs are held. We track your flight number, so if a flight lands late the driver's arrival time moves with it, at no extra cost.
Because there is only one terminal and one exit, there is no risk of walking out the 'wrong' door or ending up at a different building than your driver expects — a genuine advantage over larger airports with multiple terminals.
Departures — checking in and getting dropped off
Departures use the same single building, with check-in counters near the entrance you are dropped at. Your return pickup is timed to the flight, not to the terminal — the desk confirms the lobby time the day before based on your destination's buffer.
Both domestic transfers and the routine flow through the same doors, so the driver takes you to the right entrance without any terminal question to resolve.
If the airline changes your flight
If your flight is delayed, moved earlier, or the airline swaps the flight number after a cancellation, reply on the same WhatsApp thread with the new details. Since STI has only one terminal, a schedule change never means a different meeting point — only a different time.

Book on WhatsAppQuestions we get on this
- Does STI have more than one terminal?
- No. Cibao International Airport has a single passenger terminal for all arriving and departing flights, regardless of airline.
- Does the transfer price change depending on the airline or gate?
- No. Prices are per vehicle from STI to your destination and do not vary by airline, gate or terminal, since there is only one terminal.
- Where does the driver wait?
- Just past the customs exit in the arrivals hall, holding a printed sign with your name. We track your flight number, so a delay does not move the meeting point.
- Is STI faster to clear than Santo Domingo or Punta Cana airport?
- Generally yes for an ordinary flight, because it is a single, smaller terminal with fewer simultaneous arrivals — see the landing-to-driver timings guide for the full breakdown.
- What if my flight is delayed?
- Message the desk on WhatsApp with the new flight number if it changes. Otherwise nothing needs to be done — the driver's arrival is already tracked against the real landing time.
- Where do I check in for my departure flight?
- At the same single terminal, near the entrance where your driver drops you. The pickup time is set from your destination's departure buffer, not from a terminal choice.
