Private airport transfers from Cibao International Airport (STI)

Private means the vehicle is yours from the arrivals door to your lobby, villa or mountain hotel. No other passengers, no bus waiting to fill, no detour through a second town before yours. One driver, one price per vehicle, and a name sign held right outside the arrivals hall.

What private actually buys you at STI

Cibao International Airport has a single, small passenger terminal, so it clears fast — but the drive afterwards varies enormously, from 15 minutes into Santiago to nearly three hours to the north coast or Constanza. A private transfer is booked and priced before you fly, with the vehicle already assigned to your flight number, so the distance is planned rather than discovered at the curb.

We watch the flight, not the clock. If you land two hours late, the driver arrives two hours late with you — same driver, same price, nothing to re-book. That matters more here than it sounds, because STI has far fewer taxis waiting on spec than a resort airport, and a night landing with no plan can mean a long wait for a cab.

  • One vehicle for your party only, direct to your door
  • Name sign just outside the arrivals hall, after immigration and baggage
  • Flight tracked — delays, diversions and early landings are handled by dispatch
  • Free waiting while you clear immigration; no meter, no per-minute charge
  • Fixed USD price per vehicle, taxes included, agreed before you fly
  • Pay the driver in USD or Dominican pesos, or by bank transfer in advance

How the pickup runs, step by step

STI has one terminal building, so there is no guessing which door to walk to. After immigration and baggage claim you pass through a short customs check and out into a compact arrivals area — nothing like the scale of a big resort airport. Our driver waits just outside that exit with a printed sign showing the name you gave us.

Plan 20 to 35 minutes from wheels-down to that sign on a normal day. The terminal is quick to clear even when two flights land close together, which is one of the real advantages of a smaller airport.

  • Send your flight number and the name for the sign when you book
  • Message us on WhatsApp once you have landed, if you can
  • The driver waits right outside arrivals — you will not need to search a car park or a taxi rank
  • Luggage is loaded for you; car seats are already fitted if you asked for them

Pricing: per vehicle, not per person

Every rate on this site is one-way, per vehicle, for one to six passengers, taxes included. Two people pay the same as six. Seven to fourteen passengers move up to a passenger van, which adds a fixed surcharge on local destinations rather than a per-head fee.

There are two tiers. VIP is an SUV or minivan, air-conditioned, bottled water, the normal product. VIP is a luxury SUV or executive Sprinter with more space and a higher trim. Both include the same meet, the same flight tracking and the same waiting policy — VIP buys the vehicle, not better service.

When a private transfer is the wrong answer

If you are one or two people staying in central Santiago, fifteen minutes from the terminal, and you are comfortable negotiating a taxi fare at the curb, the saving is small. If you are renting a car for the whole trip, you may only need us for the airport leg. We would rather say that plainly than sell you something you do not need — the destination pages below lay out the real distances and prices.

Frequently asked

Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, one-way, taxes included. One to six passengers pay the same rate. Seven to fourteen passengers move to a van, which adds $20 on VIP and $40 on VIP for local destinations.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes and nothing extra is charged. We track the flight number you gave us and move the driver to the new landing time. If you are diverted, message us on WhatsApp and we re-plan from there.
How long does the driver wait?
As long as immigration and baggage take. Waiting is free on arrivals because the flight is tracked. We only ask that you message us if you are held up for an unusual reason, such as a lost bag claim.
Do I pay in advance?
No prepayment is required to hold a transfer. Most guests pay the driver in cash — US dollars or Dominican pesos — at drop-off. Bank transfer in advance is available if you prefer.
Do you run shared shuttles?
No. We only operate private vehicles, direct from STI to your address.
