Confirm the company address and visitor entrance
Going from Cibao International Airport (STI) straight to a business appointment can avoid a hotel detour, but the meeting location must be confirmed first. Ask your host for the company name, municipality, street, building and visitor entrance, plus a map pin and a reachable contact. A company’s registered address or map label may not be where visitors enter.
Santiago city and the Licey/Tamboril destination group have separate transfer pages. Do not choose a zone from the company name or assume every business address is in central Santiago. Send the exact destination to dispatch for confirmation. Ask the host about visitor registration and vehicle access; a transfer booking does not grant entry to a factory or restricted site.
Plan the complete journey, not just the drive
The scheduled landing time is not the time you can attend a meeting. Include leaving the aircraft, entry formalities, baggage collection, customs, meeting the driver, the road journey and reception at the company. Request a driving estimate for the exact address and arrival period, then add a separate reserve rather than treating a published zone estimate as a deadline.
Tell your host the flight and local arrival date and distinguish a provisional meeting window from a fixed appointment. Confirm whether arriving later is acceptable and when the visit must be rearranged. If the appointment cannot move, consider arriving the previous day. No universal number of minutes makes a same-day meeting certain.
Decide whether to go directly or stop at the hotel
For a direct visit, ask whether the company can receive your luggage and where it will stay during the meeting. Keep your work materials, identification and essentials accessible. Do not assume a reception desk accepts suitcases, or that the transfer vehicle will store them while you are inside.
If you need to change clothes or leave bags at the hotel, confirm storage, opening times, room availability and any charges with that property. Give dispatch both addresses and the intended stop before accepting the quote. A hotel stop and onward ride are not automatically included in a direct airport transfer; confirm the route and total in writing.
Coordinate flight changes and appointment changes separately
Before departure, save the transport confirmation and the host’s contact offline. If the airline changes the flight number, local date or arrival airport, update dispatch and the host separately. Flight tracking can help the airport pickup, but it does not change a company’s appointment diary or visitor registration.
If arrival becomes too late, agree a revised meeting with the host and ask dispatch to confirm the new destination and itinerary. Do not quietly replace the company with your hotel or assume a message has changed an already confirmed booking. Keep the latest written plan so the driver and host are working from the same version.
Arrange the journey after the meeting
Decide whether you need a later pickup, explicitly agreed vehicle waiting or transport to another address. Send the pickup entrance, planned time or window, final destination, passenger count and luggage. Ask how changes and waiting are handled if the meeting finishes early or runs late. Airport flight-delay terms do not automatically apply to a business visit.
A one-way drop-off does not by itself reserve the same driver for the afternoon. Obtain confirmation of availability, waiting arrangements and the price for each agreed journey. If you are returning to STI, work backwards from the airline’s airport arrival guidance and check-in deadlines; do not make an uncertain meeting finish your only departure plan.
Save the itinerary and request business paperwork
Use one written request: arrival flight and local date; exact company address and visitor entrance; host contact; appointment window; direct visit or hotel stop; passengers and bags; post-meeting pickup; final destination. Mark provisional items clearly. Ask for the route, included stops, vehicle, agreed timing and complete price to be confirmed.
If you need a business receipt or invoice, explain the requirements when requesting the quote and confirm the available document and payment method. Do not assume a specific tax document or corporate account is available. Published airport-zone rates are not added together to calculate a day with meetings, stops or waiting; request the actual itinerary total.
Can I go straight from STI to my meeting?
You can request that itinerary, but first confirm the exact visitor entrance, access instructions and appointment flexibility. Obtain the road-transfer confirmation separately; landing time is not a guaranteed meeting arrival.
Can I leave luggage in the vehicle during the meeting?
Do not assume so. Agree any vehicle waiting and luggage responsibility explicitly, or confirm a suitable arrangement with the hotel or company before travelling.
Does the airport booking cover waiting and the next journey?
Not automatically. Confirm whether you are booking a direct drop-off, agreed waiting or a later pickup, including the route, availability, charges and change conditions.
